Regen CRC 1(PASS) 2(NET TO EQ) 3(EQ TO NET) 4(BOTH) >CRC stands for Cyclic Redundancy Check, it is a method used only on ESF framed T1s for error detection. If CRC regeneration is on the CSU will compute a CRC to insert into the framing in the direction specified.
Turn CRC regeneration off by selecting (1) Pass if the CSU is in Mux mode or if the Equipment uses the same type of framing as the network (ESF,ESF or SF,SF).
In CSU mode or D&I Mode if the Equipment is ESF and the circuit is SF choose (2) Net to Eq.
In CSU mode or D&I Mode if the Equipment is SF and the circuit is ESF choose (3) Eq to Net.
(4) Both may be used for ESF equipment on an ESF T1.
