Verilink NCC Craft Port -- FORMAT --

Selecting F on the CSU Configuration menu returns the prompt:

Line Format(eq,net) 1(AMI,AMI) 2(AMI,B8ZS) 3(B8ZS,AMI) 4(B8ZS,B8ZS) >
Note that for each of the four possible selections two values are shown. The first value in each selection represents the Equipment side selection and the second value represents the network side selection.

In CSU mode or Drop & Insert mode the selection for the Equipment side must be consistent with the configuration of the DSX-1 T1 equipment. In Mux mode the equipment side selection is unimportant, since nothing will be connected to the Equipment port of the CSU.

In all cases the second selection for the network side must match the T1 circuit to which the CSU is to be connected. This is critical, the user needs to know whether the T1 is provisioned for AMI or B8ZS and the CSU must be optioned accordingly. Intermittent errors dependent on data patterns will occur if this option is set wrong.
