The TIU card has no hard or soft options. Although it will appear in the main menu display and it can be selected, it presents no menus.
The TIU will search for a clock input signal in one of three
possible places:
1) The EXT timing connector on the CIM2010 behind the TIU card
2) The NET connector on the CIM2010 behind the TIU card
3) The EQUIP connector on the CIM2010 behind the TIU card
If an external clock source is found the front panel STAT led will be green.
If the source of the clock signal is the NET or EQUIP, the associated led will also be green.
If no clock signal is found on any of the three inputs the TIU will exhibit a red STAT led and it will not put a clock signal onto bus C.
Although the TIU will always put a clock onto bus C if it has found an
input, certain circuit cards will not look to bus C for this clock and
they, therefore, do not support TIU timing. Cards which do not support
TIU clock include:
TAC2130-S
TAC 2130-T
DIU2130
DIU2140
The TAC2010, NCC2020, TAC2130, NCC2130 and SCC2130 do support TIU clocking.
