In the Shelf/Slot map area of the Main Menu, one of the letters used to represent the modules will have square brackets "[ ]" around it.

This indicates which card is the currently selected module, the NCM module in slot one of shelf one in this example.

Use the S) shelf/slot command to navigate from one application module to another.

For each shelf, there will also be one module shown with an asterisk next to it. This indicates that module is the shelf controller. The shelf controller handles the arbitration of ACP bus messages. When an NCM is present in a shelf, it should be the shelf controller. When more than one NCM is present, the in service NCM, the one actually operating the node, will be shown with an asterisk. Any other NCM will be in standby mode.


NOTE: For this HTML Tutorial, you may select application modules by double clicking on the letter which represents them in the Shelf/Slot map of the NCM Main Menu.
