PRISM 3001

The PRISM 3001 is a modular, single-port T1 CSU/DSU. The 3001 enables you to connect high-speed digital data to a T1 facility. The data interface is available as either a standard CCITT V.35 or EIA-530 and supports port rates from 56 Kbps to 1.536 Mbps. The 3001 is also available with an optional DSX-level T1 interface to support drop/insert applications. Network bandwidth may be allocated between the high-speed data port and the T1 DTE port, making the 3001 ideal for integrating data and voice traffic across a single T1 facility. Units can also be optioned with four bantam jacks. Two are used for nonintrusive network monitoring in both directions, and the other two allow signals to be inserted into the network using a T1 test set. It is available as a stand-alone unit or nest-mounted in the 1051 chassis.
